#EN 1: The Wanderer - the beginning

I already told you the name of the company and some ideas and values about it, but how did I come up with the name? Before telling you that I want to introduce you to my true friend Marcus Mann (https://www.linkedin.com/in/marcus-mann/), and the co-founder of the company. He is a true Wanderer himself, always trying to improve himself in all areas in life, not only in the business world, but as a father and boyfriend as well. He is interested in so many different subjects and is a true marketing genius. I know him since the 5th grade and it is so cool to see when a close friend had such a great development. I am grateful to see his growth and hopefully I and the company can help and support him to continue his own journey.

So it all started that I told my friend about the Ozaki8 and I immediately could feel how stoked he was about the brand and how many ideas he already had about possible products and how to do marketing. But after we already spend a lot of time thinking about this brand and doing research there was a moment when I was one night half asleep and half awake, where I thought, The Ozaki8 is not the right brand to choose. I was thinking about the name "The Wanderer" so hard I couldn't really sleep. Funny enough one of the main characters name in the movie of Ozaki8 was called "Samsara", which means translated "The Wanderer". Besides the name Ozaki8, those two names sticked to my head. I thought Samsara sounds so cool and the wanderer as well. So I thought, we need to call the company "The Wanderer"! I am a wanderer since the last 8 years now, I always liked to travel the world, I love meeting new people and getting to know new cultures and besides taking a brand, which is already created by someone else I would rather create my own brand, with my own ideas and values.

But there was one more thing, I needed to talk about it with my cofounder, because we already invested so much time in the other idea. But as I already said, he is a true wanderer himself and I luckily had not much work to get him on board. Since then The Wanderer was born, and since then we work each week next to our full time jobs to create the company we want. The next post will be about our research of all possible products, because at some point, it is nice to have a brand, but you need to have a product or service in order to get people involved and to do some profit :-)
